How Mace Damage Works

⚔️ Base Damage

The mace has a base damage of:

  • 6 attack damage (3 hearts)
  • Additional damage based on fall height
  • Bonus damage from Density enchantment
Base Formula:
Damage = 6 + Fall Damage Bonus + Density Bonus
Fall Damage: First 3 blocks = 4 damage each, Next 5 blocks = 2 damage each, Remaining blocks = 1 damage each

🔮 Density Enchantment

Density enchantment increases damage per level:

  • Each level adds 0.5 damage per block fallen
  • Maximum level is V (5)
  • Stacks with fall damage bonus
Density Formula:
Density Bonus = Enchantment Level × 0.5 × Fall Height

💥 Critical Hits

Critical hits multiply total damage:

  • Occurs when attacking while falling
  • Multiplies final damage by 1.5x
  • Applied after all other calculations
Critical Formula:
Final Damage = Total Damage × 1.5

📏 Fall Height

Important notes about fall height:

  • Measured from start of fall to attack point
  • Not the distance to the ground
  • First 3 blocks: +4 damage each
  • Next 5 blocks (4-8): +2 damage each
  • Remaining blocks (9+): +1 damage each
  • Minimum effective height is 1.5 blocks
