How Melee Damage Works
⚔️ Base Damage
Each weapon has a base attack damage:
- Swords: 4-8 attack damage
- Axes: 7-10 attack damage
- Trident: 9 attack damage
- Mace: 6 attack damage
Base Formula:
Damage = Base Attack Damage + Enchantment Bonus + Status Effects

🔮 Enchantments
Damage enchantments add bonus damage:
- Sharpness: +0.5 × level + 0.5 damage
- Smite: +2.5 × level damage (vs undead)
- Bane of Arthropods: +2.5 × level damage (vs arthropods)
Enchantment Formula:
Sharpness Bonus = 0.5 × (level + 1)
Smite/Bane Bonus = 2.5 × level
Sharpness Bonus = 0.5 × (level + 1)
Smite/Bane Bonus = 2.5 × level
💪 Status Effects
Potion effects modify damage:
- Strength: +3 damage per level
- Weakness: -4 damage per level
- Effects stack with base damage
Status Formula:

💥 Critical Hits & Cooldown
Attack timing affects damage:
- Critical hits: 1.5× damage multiplier
- Attack cooldown: 20%-100% damage
- Full cooldown = 100% damage
